I?m Kimya Glasgow, founder and creative director of a Caribbean-based apparel design company.
At Kimya Glasgow, we design and produce natural and biodegradable clothing, with a romantic and sophisticated feel, that simply feels great on your skin.
Our clothing line is all about laid-back elegance, classic Caribbean for modern living. We?re also known as much for natural clothing, as for the flattering fit of our trousers, dresses and menswear.
As a brand, our main objective is to make well-made, durable, classic pieces for the discerning customer, looking for affordable luxury, that looks amazing and lasts, creating a longer life-cycle and keeping fashion items out of land-fills. Our customers want breathable fabrics that are better for them and better for fragile ecosystems, like our Caribbean islands.
Our motto is: ?look good, feel good, do good?.
To produce our clothing we have partnered with local artists and artisans, female-owned manufacturers, and manufacturers who create economic opportunities for women, creating sustainable livelihoods for all involved. We also conduct workshops for women and youth, who want to be part of the fashion industry, to maintain industry standards, wealth creation, and community development.
After twenty years in the fashion industry, we?re moving on to a new phase, developing a selection of fashion and lifestyle products that will be sold online, following our philosophy of sophisticated, durable, and over 90%-natural-fibre products. We think that it is just good karma to think green, to help create a better environment for all, now and in the future. We?ve raised money for marketing our new collection through grant funding, developed a brand new website with commerce, and we?re excited to be participating in upcoming trade shows. We have designed a new collection and we are ready to produce. With your help and support, we will be able to purchase raw material and access manufacturing for this new venture.
Help us make this possible by contributing to our campaign, and helping us to spread the word.
Thank you for your support.
